How to Know if Your GPS Watch Works with the Findmykids App

There are many models of watches, from numerous manufacturers, currently available on the market. However, in some cases, the standard application for GPS watches can have drawbacks, such as low accuracy to location, authorization errors, or the app not recognizing the watch, even after a successful connection and short-term use.

If you are unsure whether or not the Findmykids app will be compatible with your GPS watch, the best way to find out is to download the Findmykids smartwatch app from either GooglePlay or the AppStore.

While the Findmykids app is compatible with many smartwatch models, it is worthwhile to understand that different watches from different manufacturers have their own peculiarities, and the Findmykids app simply cannot be compatible with all existing watches for technical reasons.

Here are five ways that you can check to see if your GPS watch is compatible with the Findmykids app.

The First Way: GPS Device

First, check whether there is a GPS sensor in your watch. There are many smartwatches on the market that synchronize with your smartphone via Bluetooth, and these are often confused with GPS watches.

For example, the popular model DZ09 smartwatch does not have a built-in GPS sensor, so tracking your child’s location with the model DZ09 is impossible.

The Second: The Watch Model

If you know the exact model of your watch, then it’s very easy to find out if it is compatible with the Findmykids app.

The Findmykids application is compatible with all of the following watch models:

Wonlex: Q50, Q60, Q80, Q90, Q360, Q523, Q730, Q750, Q8, GW100, GW100S, GW200, GW200S, GW200S, GW300, GW300S, GW400E, GW400S, GW400X, GW500S, GW500, GW500, GW500S, GW600S, GW700, GW800, GW900, GW900S, GW1000, GW1000S, EW100, EW100S, EW200, Smart Pet Tracker, Smart Tracker S01 and A1.

And also Tesla Nautilus Junior, Jetix DF50, Q75, K911, Ginzzu GZ-507, Indee D26C, ZGPAX S668, Tiroki Q50, CARCAM Q50, RoverMate Kid 05, Wise WG-KD03, Aimoto Sport, Wokka Watch Q360, UWatch HW8, Pax+, LEMFO, Noko V7K, Prolike, TipTop, Palmexx, YQT, iCooLive, Ereon, DxRise GPS Tracker and Gaming Watch, Woqoo, Xenzy, GreaSmart Pedometer and Smart Watch, EarnCore, Jesam, Synmila, Themoemoe, TKSTAR, GBD, Owl Cole.

The following models are NOT compatible with the Findmykids app:

Elari: FixiTime, Kid Phone.

Smart Baby Watch: DZ09, X10.

Ginzzu: GZ-501.

And also dokiWatch, Filip 2, JET Kid Smart, VTech KidiZoom DX, Gator Caref, HIPER, LG GizmoPal 2, Tinitell, Keelin, Kurio Watch 2.0, Tencent Kids Smartwatch, Lil Tracker, TickTalk, Naver Labs AKI, Omate x Nanoblock, AmazFit Smartwatch, Oaxis, Wherecom K3, Verizon Gizmo Watch, Xiaomi Mi Bunny Watch 3, Wonbo, The HereO, Wizard, iGPS, KiGO, MyKi Kids.

The Screen Interface Is the Third Way

If there are no identifying marks or information on the watch’s packaging by which you can determine the model of the watch, you can look at the interface of the main screen of the watch. If the watch has a simplified interface, as seen in the examples below, then it is likely that the watches will be compatible with the Findmykids app.

4th: Recommended Apps

Try to remember which application for the kid’s GPS watch was recommended to you by the seller. Generally, the Findmykids app will be compatible with watch models, for which the seller recommends the following applications: SeTracker, SeTracker2, and Aibeile.

The Last: SMS Commands

The most accurate way to see if the watch will be compatible with the Findmykids app is to check the watch settings using SMS commands.

You will need to send an SMS from your phone to the phone number of the SIM card that is installed in the watch. After the SMS is sent, the watch should send a reply message to your number. Before sending SMS commands, be sure to check that you have a positive balance on the SIM card in the watch.

The SMS command that requests the watch settings is the following:

pw,123456,ts#

123456 is the password from the watch. Depending on the manufacturer, the password on the watch may be different from the standard, so we recommend sending the following commands if the first does not work properly:

pw,523681,ts#
pw,153684,ts#

ATTENTION: All SMS commands should be sent in the form as it is written above, without adding spaces, or omitting any characters. Send messages in turn, and only if you do not receive an answer to the previous message.

The response message from the watch should look like this:

ver:G36_V3.00_09.18.57;

ID:6100000001;

imei:357461000000018;

ip_url:tcp.findmykids.org;

port:8001;

center:;

slave:;

sos1:;

sos2:;

sos3:;

upload:900S;

bat level:63;

language:9;

zone:5.00;

GPS:NO(0);

GPRS:NO(100);

If you receive a response message, then your watch is compatible with the app. If you do not receive a response message, and your SIM card has a positive balance, then this likely means that the watch is not compatible.

If you have checked all five ways, but still can not determine whether or not your watch is compatible with the Findmykids app, then you can send a photo of your watch to support@findmykids.org. Support specialists will work with you to find out whether or not your watch is compatible with the Findmykids app.
